We hike Riverfront Park along the Russian River. and a week ago, we spied a flying great blue heron. Today, we went back with binoculars and cameras and found the tree with the nest.
Next time, I'll bring the telephoto - they nest 100 feet up. They are hard to spot, despite having a 5 or 6 foot wingspan.
